Lost for a gift idea for someone who loves fashion: how about a donation to our very own 'Sewing Maria's project, she's just posted a JustGiving page to raise money to support local people with basic sewing skills who are in financial hardship by providing them with sewing equipment and training and be part of her Dorcas Dress Project. £5 will buy a necessary box of pins, £25 could buy a steam iron, £50 a full sewing box and £150 a first sewing machine. If you'd like to help then please go to this link - if you're buying this as a gift, ask and she'll send you a little certificate to demonstrate your donation. You may recognise the dresses, Maria has bought to our markets a few times over the last few months. The dress is one size yet fits anyone size 6-26, and has been specially designed so they can be made in remote parts of the world with limited resources.
