Great to have two of our excellent newer stalls back this week. Homesown with their lovely home-grown small plants and Once Bitten with Jo's fantastic biscuits, fudge and macarons. Nodene of Shands Cakes is also back this week with more of her lovely cakes and brownies.
Many of you will probably be unaware that Maria of Make Do Mend not only mends and alters your clothes and soft furnishings but also marks and helps set exam board standards for GCSE Textiles. Unfortunately her examining responsibilities have meant she has to change her schedule this month: she will be at the market this week instead of next week (7th May). She asked us to forward her apologies for messing up the schedule.
Finally, as a co-operative owned by local residents, volunteers and stallholders, the market holds an annual members' meeting each year to report back on our last year's performance. We also elect the new management committee, all volunteers, for the coming year. The next annual members' meeting will be on Monday, 16 May 2016, from 7.30-9.30pm at the Old Music Hall, 106-108 Cowley Road. All members welcome, please bring your 2016 membership card!
