Hayley's Kitchen - Delicious brunches, hot drinks and fantastic cakes

Please welcome Ally's Kitchen to the market this week - a new cake stall coming to us from the fantastic weekly market in Sandford-on-Thames where Ally has built up a loyal following for her cakes, brownies and puddings. Great to have another new stall Salad Daze back this week too - many will know Carla from the café - she is now making wonderful, healthy and tasty salads which her daughter is selling here at the market. If you've not tried before - make sure to this week.

Upcoming AMM

As a co-operative owned by local residents, volunteers and stallholders, the market holds an annual members' meeting each year to report back on our last year's performance. We also elect the new management committee, all volunteers, for the coming year. The next annual members' meeting will be on Monday, 16 May 2016, from 7.30-9.30pm at the Old Music Hall, 106-108 Cowley Road. All members welcome, please bring your 2016 membership card!

Finally, we have a couple of messages from traders to pass on this week:

Message from Karen and Roger Crudge
Crudges award winning cheeses

"We are delighted to let you know that Sarsden won the cup for Best Ewes Milk Cheese at the recent Artisan Cheese Fair in Melton Mowbray (http://www.artisancheesefair.co.uk/?page_id=4532). The sponsor commented that it ranked with the best aged Sardinian pecorino (and this is someone who lives and works in Tuscany running cheese courses). We also won a silver award for St. Andrews, a soft and creamy mini Camembert style cheese made with goat milk, which sold out at the fair. We do, however, have plenty of Sarsden in stock. We also have St. Regulus, the cow version of St. Andrews and Magdalen, a larger, brie-like cow cheese in good supply."

Message from North Aston

"We're going to have a full range of fresh beef cuts from one of our grass-fed, organic heifers to sell at the market this weekend. Also our cows are now outside, chewing the pasture and producing delicious Spring milk!"

Message from Karen Crudge

"I have just returned from a few days volunteering in the warehouse which distributes food, clothing and footwear to the migrants at the Calais camps. They are desperate for mens trainers and I wondered whether you would consider putting this in the customer email and advising that we would have a bag under our table for donations. I would be very grateful for any help you are able to give."
