It truly feels like early Summer has arrived this week - Saturday is the perfect picnic hamper of a market. Richard of Sotwell Manor Fruit Farm is joining us for the first time this year - he will have a table of his strawberries grown near Wallingford. Looking for something to go with them? North Aston Dairy are once again using the extra milk this time of year brings to produce their own (new and improved recipe) ice cream! Again it is a first this week and both should now be with us for the rest of the Summer.

Elsewhere we have Tiddly Pommes East Oxford grown apple juice, Cotswold Curer's delectable chorizo and salami, Simon Weaver brie, Natural Bread Company's top-notch sourdough, Brynmoor Conserves's unbeatable chutney and Mediterranean's fantastic vegetarian deli range. Just imagine the delicious lazy lunch that would make!

Finally, the market's Annual Members Meeting for 2015 will be held next Monday 16 May 2016 from 7:30pm at the Old Music Hall. Agenda etc can be found here. All existing members are invited or you can join on the night. Hear how we are doing and what our plans are for the future.

Check out this blog post from the Community Action Group network about a new food waste sharing app that has just come to Oxford called Olio. Ever wondered how you could let people know you have a glut of courgettes or some tins you'll never use? Everything from leftover kiwis to kitcats that would otherwise go to waste are already being shared in our community around us! Check out the blog to find out more.
