Market News

The big news this week is there will be no SESI refills stall on Saturday. The family are moving house this weekend so send their apologies to all their loyal customers. They will be back as usual next week.

As part of Low Carbon Oxford Week we are very lucky to have local Master Composter, Sue Baines, along. She is also a Love Food Hate Waste champion so ask away with your questions!

North Aston Dairy will have a full range of fresh beef cuts available from one of their young beef animals. They will have a wide variety of steaks, stews, mince and joints. For those looking for something without meat Salad Daze will be bringing Quinoa stuffed Peppers as well as their best selling Avocado salad box.

It is Volunteers Week at the moment. The market would not be able to be the fantastic weekly community event it is without the big group of local volunteers who pitch in with putting up our street signs on Cowley Road and collecting stall fees from our traders each week. Fancy joining our team? See here for more info. You get a free tea or coffee and piece of cake for your contribution. Here's what one of our volunteers says: “I love volunteering at the market! I get to be part of a great community project and enjoy delicious home-made cake as a reward. It's also a good way to make sure I go over regularly to buy fresh veg and other lovely and locally produced products and to hang out with a bunch of really nice people.”
