Market News
Thanks to all those who participated in voting on their favourite design for our 10th Birthday market mugs last week. The kids of East Oxford Primary had done a brilliant job of capturing courgettes, kohlrabi, cardboard boxes (for the veg!) and more in their lovely drawings. The final mug design will be on show at our special birthday market on 17th September.
This week Ian of Chillis 2 U is back once again with his chilli plants, fresh chillis, sauces and chutneys. If you are planning a BBQ, Crudges have halloomi, The Clays have great veg and salad and for meat Willowbrook Farm can supply chicken drumsticks and lamb and beef cuts as well as their spicy merguez sausages. Richard of Sotwell Manor Fruit Farm will have strawberries, raspberries and hopefully the first of the redcurrants. And finally, Country Bunches is back once again with her lovely summer country garden flowers – the Cornflowers last week were a dazzlingly beautiful presence at the market – so we look forward to what Lizie brings this week.
