This week we have a great selection of local produce: in addition to market regulars Sandy Lane Farm selling meat, fruit, and veg, and Willowbrook Farm selling eggs, meat, and honey, we have fresh nuts from , more raspberriHeath Farm Nutses from Sotwell Manor Fruit Farm, exotic mushrooms from Oxford Mushroom Co, and apple juice from Tiddly Pommes. There’s the usual wonderful selection from Natural Bread with toppings supplied by Crudges Cheese and Brynmoor Conserves. On the non-food front we have gardening books and CDs from Wildman Environmental Learning and Oxford Poetry Library are back with their fabulous book bike. Hot drinks and food will be served in the market café and there are our usual sweet and savoury takeaways for later.

As part of the Homeless Film Festival 2017, our local and locally owned cinema, The Ultimate Picture Palace, are holding a Dark Days - Homeless Oxfordshire Fundraiser on Wednesday 8th November, 6.30-8.30pm with a fascinating documentary about a group of homeless New Yorkers living in an abandoned section of the underground railway system followed by a discussion with some of the charity’s staff and clients.
