Olivia from Bodmash sources all the shawls herself. The handloom kullu shawls from a fair-trade guy in Mandi in the Kullu valley - he employs many different tribal women and has won numerous awards .... and the Kumaon shawls I buy direct from the manufacturer in the Hill Town of Nainital. I also buy from the Khadi and government stores in Delhi and all over Northern India (all fair trade).

Bodmarsh also stock items from a remarkable guy in Rajasthan called Bunker Roy. His outfit, Tilonia is quite extraordinary re. the work it does in isolated impoverished communities. As well as handicrafts, he is also responsible for the Solar Mamas ... an educational program which teaches solar electrics to illiterate women all over the world.

In addition, Bodmarsh sell a range of scarves and shawls which are manufactured (not handloom) and while not stamped certified etc fair trade,  and bought direct from the family in Delhi ... the mill is in the Punjab and is a family run outfit.
