Notice and agenda for the 2019 Annual & Special Members’ Meetings

Monday 20 May 2019, 7.30 – 9.00 pm

Old Music Hall, 106–108 Cowley Road, OX4 1JE

Note: Please bring your 2019 market membership card. If you can’t find it, please bring some photo ID, ideally with proof of address so we can verify you as a Resident Member. If you are a stallholder or volunteer member, we will know you!

Anyone attending who is not a member but would like to be a member may join before the start of the meeting. Membership is a one-off £5 single share, with annual renewals of currently also £5. Our membership and financial year runs from 1 January to 31 December.

    Members will be asked to vote to agree these draft minutes as a correct record of the meeting held on 23 May, adjourned to 30 May 2018.
  3. Reports for the year 1 January 2018 – 31 December 2018

Close of AMM and start of Special Members' Meeting:

  1. Proposals for Updating the Rules governing our Society.

According to our Rules (7.1-4) a special members' meeting has to be called to change our rules. Proposed changes are shown in this document.

The changes proposed are based on updates agreed with the Financial Conduct Authority by the Plunkett Foundation who provided our original rules. Most are for clarification or bring the rules in line with the new Co-operatives Act 2014.
