This week we celebrate Love your Local Market fortnight which runs until 31st May. At the market we have delicious veg, bread, meat and dairy, plus sumptuous fresh strawberries from Sotwell Manor Fruit Farm and hyper-local apple juice from Tiddly Pommes. Our takeaways this week are Mediterranean, Italian, Filipino, plus savouries and salads, and our café is Kalaca with their delicious Mexican street food and cakes!

Oxford Conservation Volunteers are having a Nature Conservation Day at Chilswell Valley this Sunday (May 27), working in a wooded part of the valley to reroute a public access path, relocate a pedestrian gate, and replace a short but relatively complicated stretch of post and wire fencing. Tools and training provided and no previous experience needed, just bring a packed lunch, old clothes and stout footwear. Under-18s are welcome if accompanied by a parent or guardian. Meet up at one of the minibus pickup points in Oxford:
1) Outside the Lamb and Flag Pub on St. Giles at 9.20am
2) Outside Tesco on Cowley Road at 9.30am
or meet us at the task site itself if you prefer.
Volunteers are usuall back in Oxford before 5pm.
